Türkiye’de genelde Yahudi ve Hristiyanlar’ın Kutsal Kitaplarını düşündüğümüzde Tevrat Zebur ve İncil şekilde kategorilendiririz. Ancak bu kategorilendirme yanlış olmamakla beraber eksiktir. Kutsal Kitap Tevrat Zebur ve İncil’i de içeren toplam 66 kitaptan oluşur. Aşağıda tam anlamıyla kategorilerini görebilirsiniz.
Eski AnlaÅŸma:
Yasa Kitapları: Musa’nın yazdığı 5 kitaptan oluşur. Bu kitaplar Yaratılış Mısır’dan Çıkış Levililer Çölde Sayım ve Yasanın Tekrarı diye adlandırılır. Ülkemizde bu kitapların bütününe Tevrat denir.
Tarih Kitapları: Tarih Kitapları İsrail Tarihi’nden ve Tanrı’nın halkı ile Tanrı arasındaki ilişkiden bahseder. Bu kitaplar Yeşu Hakimler Rut 1. Samuel 2. Samuel 1. Krallar 2. Krallar 1. Tarihler 2. Tarihler Ezra Nehemya ve Ester olmak üzere 12 kitaptan oluşur.
Edebi Kitaplar: Edebi kitaplarda daha çok şiirsel anlatım vardır. Eyüp Mezmurlar (Zebur) Süleyman’ın Özdeyişleri Vaiz ve Ezgiler Ezgisi kitaplarından oluşur. Eyüp kitabı dışındaki 4 kitap Davut ve Süleyman tarafından yazılmıştır.
Uzun Peygamberlik Kitapları: Peygamberlik kitapları uzun ve kısa olmak üzere ikiye ayrılmıştır. Uzun peygamberlik kitapları Yeşaya Yeremya Ağıtlar Hezekiel ve Daniel kitaplarından oluşur.
Kısa Peygamberlik Kitapları: Kısa peygamberlik kitapları Hoşea Yoel Amos Ovadya Yunus Mika Nahum Habakkuk Sefanya Hagay Zekeriya ve Malaki kitaplarından oluşur.
Yeni AnlaÅŸma (Ä°ncil):
Müjde Kitapları: İsa Mesih’in hayatını anlatan dört müjde kitabını içeriyor. Bu kitaplar yazarlarının adlarıyla isimlendirilirler: Matta Markos Luka ve Yuhanna.
Elçilerin İşleri: Elçilerin İşleri kitabı İsa Mesih’in ölümü ve dirilişi sonrasında ilk Hristiyanların deneyimlerinden bahseder.
Mektuplar: Elçiler tarafından ilk kiliselere yazılan mektuplardan oluşur.
Vahiy: Yuhanna tarafından yazılan esinlenme ve peygamberlik içeren kitaptır.

Literary Books: There are more poetic literary expression in the book. Job Psalms (Psalms) Proverbs Ecclesiastes and Song of the book consists of Melodies. 4 books except Book of Job was written by David and Solomon.
Long Prophetic Books: Prophecy books are divided into long and short. Long prophetic books of Isaiah Jeremiah Lamentations Ezekiel and Daniel consists of books.
Short Prophecy Books: short prophetic book of Hosea Joel Amos Obadiah Jonah Micah Nahum Habakkuk Zephaniah Haggai Zechariah and Malachi consists of books.
New Deal (the Bible):
Gospel Books: books about the life of Jesus contains the four gospels of Christ. These books are named by the names of their authors: Matthew Mark Luke and John.
Acts: Acts book Jesus speaks from the experience of the first Christians after Christ's death and resurrection.
Letters: the first consists of a letter written to the church by the apostles.
Revelation: and prophetic inspiration is a book written by John.
