The USIM app is a one of two applications featured in the USIM Universal CBRS Test SIM product from Contour Networks/JCI US. Android OS 5 or above is required for the USIM product. Using an Android device this application is used to download a profile created in the USIM Build Application to a SIM card. USIM Application also allows the switching between downloaded SIM profiles and access to USIM product Support resources.

The main service provided is a telecom service in which mobile numbers/prepaid packages are downloaded from an APP onto the SIM card and provide data connectivity to users when they travel abroad. This service complies with MNOs’ technical specification that requires data exchange via SMS channel therefore requirement for SMS permission. The data acquired through these permissions will only be used to deliver and improve the core functionality of the APP. The service does not collect any user data from mobile phone nor does it store any user data in the SIM card or APP server.
