Objetivo de la GeografÃa BÃblica.
El estudio cuidadoso de la geografÃa histórica de las tierras bÃblicas es importante
por dos razones:
1. Estas regiones han ejercido una inmensa influencia sobre nuestro mundo
occid
ental. No solo en detalles como el alfabeto la metalurgia la astronomÃa
medicina etcétera... sino más fundamentalmente en la herencia de la religión judÃo
cristiana.
2. El estudio de la geografÃa es necesario para el entendimiento de la Biblia.
Los elementos necesarios para el estudio de la geografÃa son:
-- El mapa bÃblico. Es una enumeración de ciudades no en orden lógico o alfabético sino territorial. Los orÃgenes del mapa bÃblico los podemos situar en el antiguo Egipto ya que es en este imperio donde poseemos algunas relaciones de ciudades palestinenses escritas sobre fragmentos de cerámica tablillas de arcilla y en muros de construcciones monumentales.
-- Las tablillas de Amarna. Son cerámicas tipo ladrillo. En 1900 a.C. se escribieron en cerámica ciertos nombres de ciudades cananeas en algunas vasijas que eran destinadas a ser rotas. Se escribÃa el mensaje que después de leer se rompÃa. Han llegado a nuestros dÃas fragmentos encontrados hacia el 1930 al norte de la Palestina y la Mesopotamia.
-- Las ostracas son pedazos de cerámica jarros donde se escribÃa algún texto.
-- En Muros se ponÃa algún dibujo o escrito sobre todo en las entradas.
-- Estellas son tablillas de piedra o cerámica donde se ponÃan escritos importantes.
-- Textos de execración son figuritas con escrituras (textos de maldición por lo general).

III d.C. mientras que la copia que ha llegado a nosotros es de 1225 d.C. la cual se conserva en la Biblioteca Nacional de Viena.

For two reasons:
1. These regions have had an immense influence on our world
occid
in that. Not only in details like the alphabet metallurgy astronomy
medicine etc. ... but more fundamentally on the heritage of the Jewish religion

2. The study of geography is necessary for the understanding of the Bible.
The elements necessary for the study of geography are:
- The biblical map. It is an enumeration of cities not in logical or alphabetical order but territorial. The origins of the biblical map can be placed in ancient Egypt since it is in this empire where we have some relationships of Palestinian cities written on ceramic fragments clay tablets and on the walls of monumental buildings.
- The Amarna tablets. They are brick-type ceramics. In 1900 BC Certain names of Canaanite cities were written in ceramic on some vessels that were destined to be broken.
