About Richard Maloney
At the age of 18 Richard was recruited to the St Kilda Football Club AFL. After getting injured and finding he was without the mental strength to handle the pressure of elite sport and his own personal struggles he was let go.
But during his post AFL-journey Richard found his true passion – understanding the power of the mind through his own self-growth. He is fascinated by human behaviour - in business sport and personal relationships - and has spent the last 22 years focussed on understanding and unleashing the mind through his unique personal development program.
With his experience in the business world and sporting industry Richard has used his personal development plan to improve the mental wellbeing of elite athletes and business leaders the world over. Richard has become an international authority seen as the world no. 1 team engagement expert leading over 200 employee engagement coaches in 80+ countries.
In 2016 he was recognised as a finalist in the Australian Optus Business Awards as Business Leader of the Year and Export Business of the Year and in 2017 a finalist in the Victorian Telstra Business Awards for Micro Business of the Year for his other business Engage & Grow Global - with a vision to create a globally engaged workforce one employee at a time.
