Use of AccessibilityService API
Clipboard includes an optional feature called Monitor system clipboard. On Android 10 and later Android restricts background clipboard access so this optional feature uses the AccessibilityService API only after you enable it and give consent in the app.
Why Clipboard uses this API:
The AccessibilityService API is used to detect copy actions and help save copied text to your in-app clipboard history.
Data accessed through AccessibilityService API:
Clipboard may access copy-related accessibility events including text labels or content descriptions that indicate a copy action and the text you copy to the system clipboard.
How the data is used:
The copied text is saved in Clipboard so you can view search edit pin organize and reuse your clip history.
Sharing:
Accessibility data is not used for ads or analytics. It is not shared with others unless you separately enable a sync or integration feature.
Control:
Monitor system clipboard is optional. You can use Clipboard without enabling AccessibilityService and you can turn this feature off at any time in Android Accessibility settings or in Clipboard settings.
