EchoCardio-Norm is an application who allows automatic calculation of echocardiographic (and cardiac MRI) normal values for a given subject of a given age gender weight height and ethnia. Echo-Cardio-Norm allow calculation of normal echocardiographic and MRI values for a broad range of cardiac structures and indexes.
EchoCardio-Norm is an easy fast and essential tool for cardiologists echocardiographists anaesthetists radiologists. EchoCardio-Norm can be used daily on smartphones and tablets or desktop to promptly understand whether patient's echocardiographic values are within the range of normality or not and if not how much are pathological. The major innovation of this APP are the immediate availability of normal echocardiographic data from different sources representing various geographic areas and ethnias. A section dedicated to normal range in the specific field of cardiac magnetic resonance is also available.
EchoCardio-Norm: was developed through the joint work of two Italian Institutions: Fondazione CNR- Regione Toscana "G. Monasterio "(FTGM) and the Institute of Clinical Physiology National Research Council (IFC-CNR).
The two main authors are Dr. Massimiliano Cantinotti cardiologist expert in cardiac imaging who works at FTGM Massa and Pisa (Italy) and Marco Paterni an expert in the development of medical software at IFC-CNR in Pisa (Italy).
