The Accu-Chek Insight CGM app is used to operate and set up the Accu-Chek Insight CGM system. The Accu-Chek Insight CGM system is a system for continuous glucose monitoring which means it continuously measures the glucose concentration in the interstitial fluid and delivers results continuously. The CGM app receives and saves the continuous glucose monitoring results. The user can enter additional information in the CGM app. This could be blood glucose results carbohydrate amounts consumed insulin amounts and health events (for example exercise or illness). The CGM app displays the continuous glucose monitoring results and the entered information on the smartphone screen. The CGM app may only be used together with the other components of the Accu-Chek Insight CGM system (sensor and transmitter). The complete User’s Manual for the Accu-Chek Insight CGM system is contained in the packaging of the Accu-Chek Insight CGM transmitter.
The Accu-Chek Insight CGM app only runs on smartphones which meet the following specifications:
• HTC One M7®
• Screen: 4.7 inch full HD 1080p 468 PPI resolution: 720 x 1280: xhdpi
• Android version: 4.4.2.

The CGM app uses a Bluetooth connection (Bluetooth Low Energy = BLE) to receive the data from the CGM transmitter.
