Everest has the title of the highest mountain in the world. The height of this mountain is 8848 meters above sea level (masl). Mount Everest is also called Chomolungma by Tibetans which means Mother Goddess of the Universe. The previous Nepalese Government also gave the name Sagarmatha which can be interpreted as the Goddess of Heaven
