بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الشيخ عبدالرشد والده هو العلامة الشيخ علي بن عبدالرحمن صوفي مفتى الصومال ومقرئها، وهو ممن أحيا ونشر علم التجويد والقراءات في تلك البلاد، تخرج على يديه الكثير من العلماء، وأنشأ المدارس والمراكز العديدة لتعلم القرآن وتعليمه، وآخرها مسجده المشهور في مقديشو المسمى بمسجد الشيخ على صوفي - الذي تعلم فيه ودرس صاحب هذه السيرة.

دراسته
عبد الرشيد صوفي أتم حفظ القرآن وهو في العاشرة من عمره، ثم أتقن علم التجويد على يد والده الشيخ برواية حفص عن عاصم، وبعد ذلك القراءات السبع عن طريق الشاطبية واستمع لشرح الشاطبية من والده أكثر من ثلاث مرات وحفظها.

رحلته إلى مصر لطلب العلم
رحل إلى مصر لاستكمال علم القراءات في أكتوبر عام 1981م، وهناك انتظم في معهد القراءات، ونال الشهادة العالية في القراءات العشر من هذا المعهد.
أجازه الشيخ محمد بن إسماعيل الهمذاني إجازتين بسنده المتصل إلى حضرة النبي الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم؛ الأولى: في القراءات العشر من طريق الشاطبية والدرة، والثانية: في القراءات العشر من طريق الطيبة.

Sheikh Abdarashd His father is a scholar Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Sufi Mufti Somalia and Mqriha he is someone who has revived and the dissemination of knowledge of intonation and readings in that country he graduated on his hands a lot of scientists and established schools and numerous centers for learning the Koran and teaching most recently his mosque famous in Mogadishu called the mosque of Sheikh Ali Sufi - who learned it and taught the author of this biography.

Study
Abdul Rashid Sophie completed memorizing the Quran when he was ten years old and then mastered the science of intonation at the hands of his father Sheikh Hafs from Asim and then seven readings for Shatebeya to hear Shatebya explanation from his father more than three times and saved.

His trip to Egypt to seek knowledge
Deported to Egypt to complete the science readings in October 1981 and there are enrolled in the Institute of readings and won high certificate in ten readings of this institute.
