How to get thermals:
Thermals are more likely to be found where the terrain faces directly into the sun.
Once entered into a thermal listen to the beeping variometer and fly in circles around the core the thermal is strongest in the center and can have sinking air on the outside.

How to ridge soar:
Find a hill which faces into the wind and travel back and for along the slope to gain height.
The steeper the hill the more lift!
