الأحاديث النبوية أو السنة النبوية الشريفة عند أهل السنة والجماعة هي ما ورد عن الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم قولاً وفعلاً أو تقريراً وصفات الخلقية أو الخلقية قبل وبعد بعثته.

لقد إهتم العلماء منذ فجر تاريخ الإسلام بالأحاديث النبوية فقاموا بجمعها وتدوينها وشرحها ودراستنها وقد أستنبطت منها العلوم المختلفة في جميع نواحي الحياة كصحة الأنسان والعادات اليومية وقواعد النظافة والعلل التي قد تصيب الإنسان جسدياً ونفسياً.
وكان العلماء الأكثر تطوراً يثبتون صحة الأحاديث النبوية من خلال إكتشافاتهم العلمية ويقابل ذلك في العالم المسلم الذي تزداد ثقته بصدق نبوءة النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم. إضافة لكون الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم المرجع الأول للغة العربية وبلاغتها فكان طلق اللسان ولم يذكر في التاريخ أن أصيب بزلة لسان فقد كان أفصح الناس لساناً.
