(1) When to go to the clinic
Flu testing is recommended to be done after 12 hours frome onset.
If it is too early it may not respond to flu.

On the other hand it is said that anti-flu medication should be taken within 48 hours after fever has started.

Therefore patients should go to the clinic from 12 to 48 hours after onset.

(2) When to go to the school
According to the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare in Japan when flu occurs the students should not go to school until five days passed after the onset and two days passed after the fever declined.
