We live in a world of 3 spatial dimensions but mathematically there
is no limit to the number of dimensions there can be. Rather than
explore all of them start small in dimension three plus one.
HyperVision lets you explore what a cube in four dimensions is
like. This object is known as a hypercube. As you rotate the
hypercube in 4-dimensional space it appears to shape shift but it
is always the same 4-dimensional shape. A 4D object has a 3D shadow
just like a 3D object has a 2D shadow. When the object moves the
shadow changes shape but the object remains the same.
In HyperVision you can rotate the hypercube in 3 dimensions and 4 dimensions. You can also view it in 3D by using 3D glasses or by going cross-eyed.
