Luật chơi cờ Caro rất đơn giản như sau:
- Mỗi người chơi lần lượt đi theo lượt. Một người đánh X và một người đánh O. Ai đủ 5 quân liên tiếp theo đường chéo đường ngang hoặc đường dọc thì là người chiến thắng.

Có hai chế độ chơi là chơi với máy không cần mạng hoặc đánh online với những người chơi khác. Với mỗi trận thắng người chơi sẽ tích lũy được điểm số để tăng cấp độ.
Có hai bảng xếp hạng: Bảng xếp hạng thành tích theo tuần và toàn thời gian.
