Ship Structure is an educational mobile AR experience that teaches ship terminology using a robustly detailed and fully interactive 3D model. The application contains three experiences:

- a guided tour that introduces the user to the components that make up a ship's structure

- a free explore mode that allows the user to explore the 3D model freely by simply selecting the different items to learn more

- a scavenger hunt that challenges the user to find each item listed on the ship components list.

This application was developed at Newport News Shipbuilding a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries inc. as a learning tool for the Apprentice School Ship Construction course. However this free app is an excellent tool for ANYONE that wants to learn about ship structure or wants to experience augmented reality in a fun and educational context.
