The AUA Guidelines Department produces Clinical Practice Guidelines and Best Practice Statements. The Department also facilitates AUA review and approval of guidelines developed by outside organizations as needed. In addition The AUA Guidelines Department provides staff support for the Practice Guidelines Committee a physician committee that serves as a resource to the Guidelines Department and guideline panels. Because of their clinical expertise members of the Committee may advise other AUA departments as well.
